BrowLens shows comprehensive device and browser information including: browser name and version, browser engine (Blink, Gecko, WebKit), operating system, screen resolution (both logical and physical), viewport size, device pixel ratio, color depth, screen orientation, refresh rate, timezone, language, online status, referrer policy, CPU cores, device memory (RAM), touch support, network connection type and speed, latency, save data mode, cookies status, and Do Not Track settings.

The tool reads information directly from your browser’s built-in APIs. Browser name, version, and engine detection is generally accurate, though some browsers may report themselves differently (for example, Chrome-based browsers might identify as Chrome even if they’re a different browser). Values like screen resolution, viewport size, language, hardware specs, and network information are reported exactly as your browser provides them.

No. BrowLens does not collect or store the diagnostic information it displays. All detection happens in your browser using local browser APIs and the diagnostic data is not sent to our server. The information is used only to display the results to you and is not stored or transmitted by the tool.

Browser detection relies on information the browser chooses to expose. Some browsers obscure their identity (particularly privacy-focused browsers), and user-agent strings can be modified. Additionally, many modern browsers are based on Chromium, which may report themselves as Chrome even if they’re a different browser built on the same engine. The tool shows what your browser reports, not what we assume it to be.

Logical resolution accounts for operating system scaling (like 125% or 150% in Windows, or ‘More Space’ on Mac). This is what the browser sees and is used for web development. Physical resolution is the actual number of pixels on your display. For example, a 1920×1080 display at 125% scaling reports a logical resolution of 1536×864.

Screen resolution is the total number of pixels on your physical display—the full width and height of your monitor. Viewport size is the visible area of the browser window after accounting for browser UI elements like tabs, address bar, and scrollbars. For example, your screen might be 1920×1080, but your viewport might be 1920×920 when the browser’s UI elements are considered.

Browser Engine identifies the rendering engine your browser uses—Blink (Chrome, Edge, Opera), Gecko (Firefox), or WebKit (Safari). Device Memory shows the amount of RAM available on your device, which helps developers understand performance capabilities. Referrer Policy shows how your browser handles referrer information when navigating between sites. Save Data Mode indicates whether your browser has data-saving features enabled to reduce bandwidth usage.
